e are renting our property for Bike Week 2004. It "officially" runs from feb 27th to march 7.
we have never rented our property before, but after hearing all of the horror stories of campgrounds and other places people stay, we thought we could do it better.
the perfect situation be a group of regular bike week attendees. a big group of people who hangs out together and basically keeps the same schedule.
we are willing to allow the combination of motor homes, tents, cars, trailers, bikes, etc.. to make everyone comfortable. we have many possibilities as to the layout and are willing to listen to requests and suggestions. we have many ideas, but if the tenting area is more important than vehicles or vice versa, we are willing to move things around. 2 full size motorhomes, 2 to 4 bike trailers, a car or two. or the combination of smaller campers, bike trailers.
we have a brick bbq grill. we are willing to offer use of washer & dryer, and our second bathroom and shower.
lots of room to lay out someones perfect campground not even ten minutes from the beach, even during bik

HOGS HELPING HOGS
When visiting Bike week in Daytona beach, why not take a short run up the coast to Bunnell FLorida, where hidden among the farm fields you will find one of the most surprising and dedicated people aournd. Lory Yazurlo basically cares for over 500 abandoned or abused pigs of all types by herself, from her wheelchair. severly injured in a truck accident years ago she takes on the daily duties of feeding and watering all the pigs. It is rare that any help is around, but the pigs must be fed and watered. I am posting this to see if there is any interested bikers that would want to see and possibly help out during this week. If I get a good response then I will set up a day or two with Lory and we will open for tours and all. We are just starting to rebuild the Sanctuary and with any help we can make it a loving and safe place for the pigs to live out their lives

I met a guy named Shawn Lee D****e at the White Eagle during bike week 2002. We were in contact for a year. I love him and need to find him. Can anyone help me? Last I knew he lived in Bunnell, Florida. I know that he is still in the area. He also worked for a company that prepared places for swimming pools.

To the nurse that wears a full face helmet! People that are afraid of getting hurt should stay off motorcycles. Yes, they are dangerous but I guess you have noticed in the emergency department that so are cars. I have yet to see a full face helmet being worn in a car! Lighten up.

I really enjoyed your web site including the information concerning Florida's Helmet Law. As a Harley Rider, Dyna Low Rider, there is nothing more I love to do than to ride with the wind blowing through my hair, but I realize how foolish this idea really is. I am a nurse. I used to work at a Level One trauma center. I took care of two riders, one who wore a helmet and one that loved the feel of the wind. The one with the helmet had a broken bone but left the hospital with no other injuries. The one who did not wear a helmet, well we had to put a diaper on him as he could not tell when he needed to use the restroom, nor would he initiate any conversations. According to the doctors, this late 20's rider most likely will never have his mental faculties back. What was really sad is this guy had a wife and a small child that he does not recognize. This is why I wear a full face helmet as I do not want to be left a vegetable or a corpse nor do I want to spend my time having my face reconstructed. PLEASE think twice, then ask yourself do you want to be able to climb on your iron horse and ride off or do you want your horse to collect dust because you wanted your freedom?

although I'm just a Japanese student,I had a really great time when I was in Bikeweek this February. It was so cool, exciting experience when I was in the U.S.
Also this website was a really useful and easy to understand. There's no bike event like this big in Japan. I'm sure I'm gonna go to bikeweek with my bike nexttime.

I am looking to purchase video footage of any of the various wrestling shows that take place at Daytona or any rally for that matter. I'm a big fan of these shows but cannot make it out where these take place. Anyone out there willing to sell their privately shot footage of the coleslaw, pudding, jello, spaghetti, mud, etc. shows? I have some I've obtained that I could trade if interested. I am planning on going to Sturgis this year and hopefully shoot some footage myself. So if someone out there would like to help out an unfortunate bro on the West Coast I would be happy to pay money or trade. Email me if you will help me out. Thank you for your time.

Camp on our 14 acre land during the 100th anniversary of Harley Davidson. More details at steel1010@hotmail.com. Just 20 minutes north of Milwaukee, WI, you can camp on our living history reenactment of the 1836 mountain man. Complete with teepee's, large fort, covered wagons, cantina (where food will be sold) and more, you can set up your tent for less than anywhere else around. This is located next to a large bar, restaurants, gas station, and five minutes to truck stop. All the hotels and motels are filled during that time, and this is your opportunity to secure your spot. Email Jason at steel1010@hotmail.com for details.

I got this email from some friends, I thought if there is anyone around Indiana they might want to join in on this. My wife and I will be riding in it.
"In light of recent war protests and US flags being burnt on Monument Circle in Indy, area bikers are putting together a Support Our Troops Ride. This is verbal only and no flyers are available. All information is word of mouth. The ride will leave Northside Cycle and Cafe at 96th Street and I-69 on April 6th at 12 noon and end on Monument Circle. It has been told that Army Reservists in Hummers will lead and tail this ride. There is no cost to participate and do not know what will take place at the circle. Goal is to see as many of us bikers involved as possible"

y Complaint is regarding Pappas Drive-In & Family Restaurant 1103 North Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 – phone (386) 427-0633
My husband, child & little dog had been to the park and stopped there to eat. A young girl (about 16) came to the car to take our order. After ordering, I asked if we could order just a very small or kiddie sized vanilla soft serve for the dog.
Ten minutes later, I could hear this burly cook in his late forties yelling at the young girl all the way in my car. (it's a convertible). He was yelling at her for my order of the few tablespoons of softserve. Of course, I felt horrible. It's not like I was trying to get out of paying full price. (By the way, it would only have been $1.26 anyway). So I went over and apologized to the man and asked him not to yell at her. The owner was standing there and I hoped he had seen. I told him that I didn't mean to get her in trouble and that it looked terrible for that cook to yell at her. Then the owner (a dark haired burly guy) started yelling at ME. He said "We're busy here. We don't have time to play games." I said "He doesn't have a right to treat her like that". He said “It's my business. I do what I want.”
What a big man!
If this kind of arrogant business practice disgusts you as much as it did me, I suggest you send a note telling this

This message is for Henry:
I don't know how to express in words how fondly and how often my father spoke your name and always had somthing to laugh about afterwards. I just want to thank you for all the years of your time not just taking pictures of bikeweek, but the time to sit on a corner with my dad and just shoot the bull. We'll keep the beer story on the porch a secret. HaHa.
Thanks for all the late-night down-loading pictures of BikeWeek and the Rat's Hole Bike Show.Without you, folks all over the U.S.A. wouldn't get to see bike week through your skilled eyes and years of experience.
Your Friend,
Karl Jr.
hope to see you in Boone...

... the Boot Hill Saloon, Froggy's and all the other phony "biker bars" on Main Street. No colors, no support patches, HOG patches, ABATE patches. The real bikers who made this life. ... them all. They just want to suck you ... RUBS and Yuppies of yer dollars. Those places ARE NOT biker bars, they don't give a ... about bikers. They just want the money.

Henry,
I have visited your site for years during Bikeweek and Biketoberfest.I can not be there physically this year, but thanks to your pictures I can be there mentally. Henry, you got to know that for each one of us who
takes the time to e-mail you, there are at least 10,000 who take your site for granted and never tell you how much they enjoy it or that you are doing a wonderful service for those who can't be there.
Henry, thank you so much.

Living here in New Smyrna Beach is a real embarassment toall those coming to bike week, the Volusia County Sheriffs think nothing of ticketing anyone for anything! If they don't want bike week here anymore let us know and stop harrassing everyone!! Please be ware that they will ticket for pipes(yes even stock pipes),attire, harrassing people who are walking yes walking in a manner they believe to be "wrong".They have turned this entire area including Daytona into a Police State!! What a shame.

dont let parking ruin your trip in daytona.
dont park in areas on streets just because others
are there. the city towwing (daytona wrecker) will
impound your vehicle. they can snatch ten in 20 minutes
. check the signs ,the yellow curbs, permit parking,
and meters and 2hour. they mark your tires. pay a few
bucks for parking especially around seabreeze and wild-
olive. lock your bikes hard unless u can see them.
parking in fly by night parking is risky. find out when
the attendant is departing. friends parking off main st
had 3bikes stolen within 2 hours of parking. they were
stolen right after 12 when the attendant left. seemed
to coincidental. ride safe and park safe and have a
great time!! any tips?, post them. help your brothers

he "Iron Horse"
What is it you ask? It is Self Expression, It is Art, It comes in all shapes and sizes,It is a beauty to behold as its highly polished paint and chrome Glisten in the sunlight. It is all you can imagine it to be, It is Freedom.
At what then of those who ride these Iron Horses?
They are as unique as their ride yet steadfast in their loyalty to one another. Their brother hood and camaraderie are unparalleled. They fight for the Freedoms of all that ride. They ride countless hours, Thousands of miles through every kind of weather imaginable and raise hunderds of thousands of dollars for local and national charities. If one of them is hurt or down, their masses come together in a display of freindship and giving that truly touches the heart.
And, they do this all year Long.
I am proud to be among those who ride they "Iron Horse" and hope that the next time you see a group of us, you will better understand who we are andwhat we are about.

HiYa guys (& Ladies) Can anyone advise on a noise problem on my 2000 night train ?? I changed the primary chain adjuster for a self adjusting adjuster, It now changes gear much easier & without clunking (except going into 1st) But when the engine is warm it makes such a loud wirring noise. So loud that at tick over I can hear it above the exhaust. I'm thinking about re-fitting the original adjuster. & yes I can't remove anymore of the shaped plates under the adjuster. Any Offers Of Advice Welcome ??
